ARYAWNA FRIESEN

Artist bio

Aryawna Friesen was born and raised in Wichita, KS where she received a Studio Art Degree in Printmaking at Wichita State University. Aryawna was first drawn to printmaking due to the intricate techniques and the satisfying end result of pulling the first print. Through her practice of screen print, relief and, lithography, Aryawna creates work inspired by her own personal experiences and struggle with mental health.

Aryawna is a recipient of the Art & Design Advocates material stipend Grant and the David & Vivian Bernard Printmaking Scholarship. She has exhibited in the In Art Gallery, Shift Space Gallery, and the Cadman Art Gallery, winning multiple awards for her work.
